My Journey to Becoming Your Financial Diva

By Kristi LeGue

My guess is if you are reading this, you are just like me. You may have found yourself in the situation I did, working feverishly at a nine to five job, missing your children grow up, and all the while feeling like there simply wasn’t enough of you to go around.

When my oldest son was born, my world came to a screeching halt. All of a sudden, working at a traditional job was not that important any more. I felt like I was trying to climb the corporate ladder with a baby on my hip, a breast pump on my shoulder, in a skirt while wearing high heels. All of a sudden it hit me: Something Had to Change.

In the two years I worked after he was born, I took one day off to take care of him. It happened to be the day he had surgery to put tubes in his ears. I had pressures coming from work, but inside, I knew I wanted something different. I wanted to spend time with my family. I did not want to look back and realize I missed the experience of watching my kids grow up.

Then I got pregnant with my second child. I was busting my butt trying to prove myself at work, feeling I was completely letting down my first son and crying all the time when I got home from work because my reviews were coming back that I needed to do a better job of figuring out that work/life balance everyone is always talking about.

I went on maternity leave with my second son and never looked back. I decided to start my own business August 2004. There are definite perks to having your own business. But there are also a lot of different stressors. For example, financially, we were in a much different situation. Now, I had to start worrying about how I was going to pay the mortgage every month. Five years later, I have persevered as a business owner. Things were really starting to pick up, but, I just had this feeling that I knew I could do more.

A new direction…

I went to the eWomenNetwork International Conference in Dallas, Texas in July 2008. Talk about a life changing experience! Around that same time, America started to go into a financial crisis. It was almost like the news reports told me what my next step should be. That is when I became Your Financial Diva and created my financial coaching programs. I have all this fantastic knowledge around being a mompreneur, understanding numbers and money; why not create a business that will truly change people’s lives?

Fulfilling a life purpose

I truly believe that my global life’s purpose involves changing people’s lives for the better. My personal life’s purpose (as with most, if not all, mothers) is to be the best mother I can for my three boys. Being an entrepreneur allows me the freedom I need to fulfill that calling. Although I love the technical side of accounting and bookkeeping, my real passion lies with the personal touch I can give to each and every person I meet. With my financial coaching programs & Concierge CFO Services, my global life purpose is being fulfilled, by assisting other moms in the transformation from a financial caterpillar to a butterfly.

You may feel alone in this time of financial crisis. I am here to let you know that you are not alone. I am here to hold your hand and guide you through a very difficult process. I know from personal experience how frustrating and scary things can seem sometimes.

I help you figure out how you ended up in your current situation. We dig deep and see what childhood experiences may have contributed to your current spending habits. You then will come out with a plan on how to put your financial puzzle together.

My clients are very excited to start my coaching programs and I hope you will be too. I have been told that after coaching with me it feels like an enormous weight has been lifted off of their shoulders. I love to empower mompreneurs through my financial coaching program. I will help you will take back the control in your financial life and find balance for all of the things near and dear to you. If you decide that you are ready to take the next step and take control of your financial life, contact me and we can discuss which one of my programs is right for you.

To your financial clarity,

Kristi LeGue
